DIY Wedding: Botanical Place Cards & Milk Bottle Table Numbers

Check out Planet Mithi's blog for these DIY projects from her recent wedding:

Don't you love the vintage milk bottles with the circus font numbers!

Etsy Love: Vintage Wedding Dress

Brass Paperclip is one of my favorite shops on Etsy. Cindi has a great sense of style and knows a good vintage buy when she sees it. I have featured her beautiful wedding dresses here before, and this one is just as spectacular as the others.

From the 1960's, the vintage wedding dress is hand embroidered and features scallop edging and bell sleeves. Cindi has a complete description here, but there are two things I'd like to point out. First is the train; unreal. Twelve foot, detachable Watteau (waterfall) train. It is absolutely stunning!

Second, and my favorite part about buying the dress, is Cindi will donate all proceeds to breast cancer research. And the price? $375. This dress is a total win!

Visit Brass Paperclip for more information about this gorgeous dress and other equally stunning vintage finds.

Special Edition: A Romantic Wedding Preview

I wasn't going to post again today, but Meg over at La Partie Events has posted additional photos from Nadia & Charles Wedding, so I'm giddy to share. Here is a sample:

You can also see more photos on 100 Layer Cake and Once Wed. Isn't it the most romantic wedding ever? I love all of the vintage art nouveau wedding details, the Etsy touches, and how totally in love these two kids are. Perfecto!

DIY Project~ {fabric flowers}

I've been looking for a good DIY project to share and struck gold with Laurie Cinotto's blog. Seems that everyone is into fabric flowers these days and Laurie demonstrates how to make them yourself:

Group together and add to a belt, hair clip, or arrange them as Laurie has in little vases. Lovely for wedding decor or bridesmaid gifts. The possibilities are endless! Look for vintage fabric or feed sack material on Etsy or your local flea market. Super cute and way easy!

Real Wedding: Corinne and Chuck

Phil and Mindy, the creative team behind Phindy Photography, recently shot Corinne and Chucks wedding in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The weather, the location, everything about the day was just perfect. The fete was put together by the talented folks at A Delightful Day.

Can't go wrong with mismatched bridesmaid dresses in your color palette.

How rad is this dress?

The palette and details are so pretty. A lot of vintage details, especially with the lily of the valley bouquet. Glasses tipped to Phil and Mandy for capturing everything so beautifully. Check out more of their work here.

Inspiration: Vintage Yellow & Turquoise Wedding

What could be more cheerful than yellow and turquoise? Makes me think of drive in movie theatres, taxi cabs, diner hops...you get the picture. A totally retro color palette, and a good reason to put your wedding party in yellow shoes!

Real Wedding: Todd Pellowe Photography

Todd Pellowe just about had me stumped. After checking out his blog, I was at a complete loss. How was I supposed to choose one wedding from the gazillion gorgeous sets? The next one was more beautiful, more unique than the one before.

So I based my choice on today's cool weather. Maybe it's a sign that fall's right around the corner, maybe the odds are that August has at least one temperate day, who knows. But I was drawn to the richness of this wedding. I often post casual, home grown, organic weddings, but figured hey, let's class this joint up for a little bit.

Meet Jessica and her bridesmaids. Jessica married Jason in Louisville, KY this summer. Jessica is drop dead, cover your boyfriend's eyes gorgeous. Her bridesmaids look awesome in their mismatched yet coordinating dresses. Pheasant feathers in the bouquets? You bet. I said classy, didn't I?

If you want to see more, click here. And don't blame me when you're up until 1 am examining every detail in Todd's photos. You've been warned.

Preview: Save the Date Printables

While my internet connection was down this morning, I worked on a few Save the Date templates. I'm putting together all of the download information, but thought I'd share a preview with you:

Who doesn't love a free printable? Check back tomorrow for more details.

Oldie but Goodie: Anne Benjamin Letterpress

It's been two years and I am still in love with Anne Benjamin's work. Her letterpress designs are absolutely spectacular. This wedding invitation is one of my favorites:

Every detail is gorgeous! Her custom invitations are oh-so vintage but with a modern twist. Take a peek at her website for more drool worthy designs!

Stephanie Williams & Ruche: Match made in heaven!

Hats off to Stephanie Williams, one of my favorite photographers. All of her work slaps a huge smile on my face, but I am particularly smitten with her photos for the new Ruche Look Book. For those of you who aren't familiar with Ruche, I suggest you take a look at their site immediately. Oh Em Gee, it's like Anthropologie only affordable. Here are the fall teasers:

Be sure to check out more of Stephanie's photos on her blog (there is a fabulous vintage wedding shoot that's a must read) and get yourself to the Ruche site ASAP!

Inspiration: Vintage Red and White Wedding

The combination of red and white is a palette that fits into any sort of wedding. It can be dressed up with black and gold for an elegant event, paired with khakis for a seaside ceremony, or come in checks and stripes for a backyard casual wedding.

Fabulous Florals

When I look at pictures like these, I miss my days as a floral designer. It was so fulfilling to create beautiful things that made people smile every day. I loved to work with people who had unique visions and wanted something different than the 'status quo'.

I'm all for a DIY project, but before you consider arranging the flowers for your wedding, consider a few things. First, it takes time not only to arrange the flowers, but to process as well. And this isn't something you can do in advance. Flower arranging is a last minute project. I have spent thirteen years putting together bouquets, and an average wedding takes me about 20 hours in total to complete, and that's if everything runs smooth. If you frazzle easily, I don't think it's for you. Save yourself the anxiety and go with a pro.

Real Wedding: Jason Groupp Photography

I adore the details of this wedding from Jason Groupp Photography. The couple, Vanessa and Pete, chose Shelter Island, NY as their location; and what a place! The cottage Vanessa got ready in is quaint and cozy. And the church! Can you believe the church?

All of this is only equalled by the brides Oscar de la Renta gown. It honestly has me questioning my own dress. So beautiful with the fuchsia Manolo's.

For more photos from Vanessa and Pete's wedding, and other gorgeous events, go here.

Don't you love the girls' white dresses? And the gothic window in the vintage decorated cottage? And everything else?!

Crew Cuts Flower Girl Dresses on Sale

After coming across the Crew Cuts sale at JCrew today, I am considering an increases in the number of flower girls I have from 0 to 8. How flippin' cute are these dresses?!?! If these dresses had cheeks, I'd pinch them off. I'd like one of each in my size please and thank you.

The best part? Most of them are less than $40. The tot's mom will thank you.
